Queer, Woman/Femme

Arlington, VA

Delaney Price is a DC and Pittsburgh based lighting designer and manager, and photographer. She is a graduate of Duke Ellington School of the Arts and is a current student in the School of Drama Lighting Design program at Carnegie Mellon University. Alongside her Lighting Design major, Price is a Dietrich College gender studies minor with a specific interest in body politics. She also holds a certification in Mental Health First Aid and is using this to formulate research on the affects of performing gender-based violence on stage.

As a former dancer, she views her lighting as a choreography, establishing its own visual language through tactful use of form. She has a love for dance, theatre, and opera lighting with a specific interest in new works.

When not in the theatre, Price is probably taking one of her foster dogs on a hike, shopping for a new vinyl, or participating in a tap dance circle or class somewhere in the city!
