I'm based in both Greenbelt, MD, and New York City, and hold an MFA in Lighting Design from the University of Maryland. I’ve worked in theater, dance, opera, and live music, focusing on both realistic and heightened visual experiences. The blend of artistry and technology is a particular interest, and I enjoy experimenting with new ways to bring these elements together. I see myself as a collaborator and programmer, both excited to create art with colleagues, and finding ways to make complicated ideas and systems functional. Outside the theatre, I like learning about emerging tech and how it relates to my art, exploring creative projects, and traveling—activities that inform my approach to design. My hope is to craft environments that help tell stories and invite imagination, connection, and a sense of shared experience.
