Thom J. Woodward is a multifaceted, DC-based, sound designer, audio engineer, and teaching artist. He is especially gifted at editing, mixing, and designing sound for various types of audio storytelling—including live theatre, podcasts and video. He is also a sound engineer for live concerts and he records, mixes, and masters in-studio and on-location music projects. He is knowledgeable and experienced in working with all types of American popular music, the music of various international regions, opera, and classical music ensembles and orchestras.
Thom earned his BA in Radio Production from Howard University and holds two subsequent master’s degrees from Full Sail University. Passionate about delivering creatively dynamic and impactful productions, Thom is collaborative and personable; innovative and intentional. His free time is often spent playing golf or tennis. He is a member of the Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association (TSDCA) and the Audio Engineering Society (AES).
